Canon’s new ink tank printers are designed to boost productivity for home and small business

The pandemic has transformed the way we operate, driving a significant shift in how technology and devices are used. “As the world strives to adapt to a hybrid working environment, we have seen a sudden surge in demand for ink tank multifunction printers,” said Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO of the management of Canon India. “It has further led the Consumer System Products division to become one of the most contributing businesses for us in India.”

Canon recently introduced its seven new PIXMA G-series ink-tank printers – PIXMA G3060, PIXMA G3021, PIXMA G3020, PIXMA G2060, PIXMA G2021, PIXMA G2020 and PIXMA G1020 – to boost productivity for home and small businesses . Designed to stand out with high ink volumes and low cost printing, the new PIXMA G Series printers include the hands-free, drip-free ink filling mechanism and a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge designed to ensuring minimum downtime and maximum productivity for homes and businesses. The printers feature an “economy” mode that allows consumers to print up to 7,700 color pages or 7,600 black pages in economy mode. The printers also come with an On System guide for cleaning the paper feed rollers which helps reduce service calls and improve the customer experience.

According to C Sukumaran, Director, Consumer System Products & Imaging Communication Products, Canon India, the pandemic has laid the foundation for a whole new normal, making working from home and studying from home an imperative for households and SMEs. With the new normal, the need for infrastructure to support this hybrid work environment has propelled the demand for printers to be used at home as well as home office setups. “Our new printers are an amalgamation of next-level modern technology and cost effectiveness that will adequately serve end customers,” he said.

The printers are suitable for general use or photo printing, with the dedicated use of pigment black ink for sharp, crisp text in text documents and line art, and automatic switching to only color channels. dye ink when needed to produce glossy, borderless photos up to A4 size.

The new printers are offered at attractive prices; while the PIXMA G1020 costs Rs 11,048, the PIXMA G3060 is priced at Rs 17,403 (all taxes included). All printers must be available on major e-commerce platforms and authorized retailers starting February 15, 2020.
