Gate NY Full-Service Contract Decorator’s Embroidery and Garment Printing Equipment Featured in Online Auction


HOLBROOK, NY – April 8, 2021 – Tiger Group is now accepting bids for the April 15 online auction of the assets of Holbrook, NY-based embroidery and apparel printing company Gate NY, which was a major drop-shipping location for apparel distributors throughout the Northeast.

Auction highlights include screen printing machines, flash cures, dryers, folders and accessories from brands such as MHM, M&R, Dane, Hix, Interchange, OYO and NEDCO; equipment directly on Brother’s garments; and embroidery machines and accessories from renowned manufacturers such as Barudan and Hashima.

“Embroidery and apparel printing businesses are gearing up for a revival of live events this spring and summer as the national vaccination campaign progresses,” noted John Coelho, senior manager at Tiger Commercial & Industrial. “But shipping brand new equipment takes months due to supply chain disruptions. Therefore, this online auction is particularly relevant for the needs of growing businesses in this sector.

In addition to equipment such as thermal transfer presses from Stahls and Brother and a Roland printer/cutter, Tiger is auctioning off warehouse and office space at the 32,000 square foot Gate NY facility in Holbrook. These include heat sealers, conveyors, forklifts, air compressors, pallet jacks, carts and carts, as well as computers and office, reception and breakroom furniture.

Founded in 1996, full-service decorating company Gate NY recently ceased operations following the death of its founder. Gate NY has decorated over 1.5 million garments per year for major retailers like S&S Activewear, SanMar and Alpha Broder. He was a licensed decorator for North Face, Under Armor and Puma, and had worked on projects involving brands such as Ferrari, Ford, Pepsi, Red Bull, BBC America, Energizer, Benjamin Moore Paints and CAT, to name a few. name a few.
